New Blog!

I've started a new blog over at Blogspot -- "Interview with a Writer." It's a simple concept: A writer (me) interviews another writer about writing. Interviews will be conducted once a month, possibly twice, if I feel adventurous.

To kick things off, I've posted an interview I conducted with Kim Harrison, author of the Rachel Morgan series, back in March. Kim's currently hard at work writing but gave her permission for the previous interview to be posted on the new blog.

The next writer scheduled for the "hot seat" is Carolyn Haines, author of the Sarah Booth Delaney mystery series and recipient of a 2009 Richard Wright Award for Literary Excellence. Carolyn is also my mentor and a good friend. Check "Interview with a Writer" soon to see what she has to say.

About Jeannie K. Holmes:

Jeannie K. Holmes -- known to friends as J. K. -- is a native of southwest Mississippi. Before receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of South Alabama, she worked ina variety of interesting jobs, including emergency rooms, independent auction houses, and even a brief stint in a funeral home.

In addition to working on the sequel to CRIMSON SWAN, she is finishing her Master of Arts degree in English and lives in Mobile, AL with her husband and four neurotic cats.
